Notice on the News Coverage Activities
on the 4th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO)
& the 4th China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (CABIS)
The 4th CAEXPO and the 4th CABIS, co-sponsored by the departments in charge of economy and trade of China and the 10 ASEAN countries as well as the ASEAN Secretariat, and organized by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, will be convened on October 28-31, 2007 in Nanning, Guangxi, China. By then, heads of state/government of China and ASEAN, and other VIPs from the political and business communities will make their presence at these two grand events. Notice on the news coverage activities during the events is now released as follows:
I. Registration time: September 28-- October 15, 2007.
II. Accommodation & Transportation: Needed expenditure, including transportation and accommodation thus occurred during the news coverage will be borne by the journalists themselves. During the events, a 30% discount will be offered to journalists and reporters who stay in Yongzhou Hotel, the recommended hotel of the CAEXPO and CABIS organizing committees, and free meals and assistance in arranging local transportation will be provided free of charge by Guangxi side.

1. The Chinese Inbound Media Service Team under the Information & Publicity Division of the Organizing Committee takes care of the registration of journalists/reports from the Chinese Mainland; the Chinese Outbound Media Service Team takes care of the registration of journalists/reporters from Hong Kong and Macao SARs as well as Chinese Taipei; and the Foreign Media Service Team is responsible for the registration of foreign journalists/reports. 3．The Information & Publicity Division of the Organizing Committee will send written confirmation to the approved journalist/reporters before October 20, 2007.
4. During and after the events, Guangxi side will arrange field trips for the media/press to major cities in Guangxi, including Nanning, Qinzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang, etc.
